A Meeting of Knowsley’s Council Cabinet took place on Wednesday 30th May 2007, one of the main items on the agenda was the Kirkby town Centre regeneration public consultation document. The main thrust of the meeting was to agree, in principal, with the proposals and to start the consultation process. To this end we are urging all Evertonians living in the Kirkby area to contact their local councillors and to make their views known.

The full list of Kirby Councillors is as follows;

Cherryfield Ward
Dave Lonergan
Jayne Aston
Ted Grannel

Whitfield Ward
Angela Clarke
D Keats
N Keats

Central Ward
Jackie Harris
Billy Brennan
Maria Stuart

Shevington
Tommy Grierson
Ritchie Halpan
Malcolm Sharp

Park Ward
Robbie Crummie
M Dobbie
J Greer

Northwood
Eddie Connor
Tommy Garland
Mick Murphy

All their contact numbers and surgery times can be found on the Knowsley council website.

http://www.knowsley.gov.uk/your_council/council/

Our sources inform us that a report to cabinet informing them the outcome of the consultation process will go before the committee by late July 2007.

We would like to draw your attention to the report that went before the cabinet and stated the following;

“The consultation exercise will also need to take into account the views of Everton Football Club fans. Everton is understood to be carrying out its own consultation and the club will be requested to share the results of this exercise, so that they can be taken into account in the decision by the council.”

We leave you to draw your own conclusions and hope for your ballot paper to drop.

We would be more than interested if any Evertonians out there could copy us in on any correspondence or literature that they receive from their elected representatives.

I think it time for us to pettition the club regarding the renewal of season tickets from next season. if you dont have a season ticket boycott the match. this may sound a bit harsh but the only way this wyness fella is going to listen to the fans is through his pockets and gate receipts are our major source of income. if we can hit them with thousands of names before the end of the season they may sit up and take notice.
There is another option which i have mentioned to W Bradley is behind edge hill station , its masive and deralict, it has two stations edgehill and wavetree and four major roads in and out of the city. its worth a look at.

I understand that Goodison is well out of date for a club the size of Everton an that if Goodison itself cant be redeveloped then we have to move but NOT TO FUCKING KIRKBY!!!! If the redshite can get Stanley Park then why cant we move in Walton Hall Park? There's surely enough space in there to have a new ground an to keep the green belt brigade happy? What's more its well within the city boundaries and a mile or so from Goodison. It would be ideal in my opinion although if Goodison were to be redeveloped I'd go for that everytime.

I agree - we could've swapped GP for part of WHP.

Unfortunately KEIOC have become so well in with cllr-Bradley they don't want to upset him despite him steadfastly ruling out a dream site for the club so early on.

Bradley was and is a fraud and he's led KEIOC on a merry dance and they fell for it hook line and sinker.

I totally agree with ya on that one. But it does seem that the city council have bent over backwards for the redshite so they could have Stanley Park. It's fuckin sickening to think think that a club the size of Everton an with history we've got the council would fight tooth an nail to keep us in the city whatever it took but sadly they dont seem interested, the twats![/img]

Perhaps you can show me where that KEIOC has advocated one/two/three/four sites within Liverpool.
